'Healthy food' is a phrase tossed around in our society which puts fear on some people's faces, because frankly most people think; 'Isn't healthy eating boring?'.

Well yes, it can be... but on the flip side it can also be really tasty, if you know what you're putting together, and how to make it.

Food Travels Editorial has teamed up with Cypressa Foods in London, who sell healthy Med/ World food, to show you just what recipes you can make that taste good, look good and most of all- FEEL GOOD. Each month they carefully select a 'Product Of The Month' which this month is their fabulous sesame seeds.

The reason sesame seeds are such a great beauty food and becoming vastly popular in peoples cooking habits is the wonderful benefits you can reap from them, such as:

- Contains Phytate which links to Cancer prevention

- High Levels of Calcium + Zinc= Bone Health

- Contains Fiber = Healthy Digestion

- High Levels of Zinc = Healthy Skin & Hair

- Large Copper Content= Anti Inflammatory Qualities

Plus many more!

With that being said, here is the wonderful, delicious and sweet recipe for my Seasame Seed Booster Bars!

Ingredients

-250g Cypressa Sesame Seeds

-180g Plain Whole Cashew Nutes

-180g Dired Cranberries

- 110g Honey

Method

Firstly take your cooking scales and weigh out your ingredients.

Then add your sesame seeds to a frying pan and toast them on a medium heat for 2-3 mins, Don't use any oil!

Then take a large bowl and a wooden spoon and add in your sesame seeds and dried cranberries:

Then take your cashew nuts (if you don't like nuts you can use a substitute dried fruit/seed or chocolate chips) and place them into a plastic zip-seal bag and smash then up with a rolling pin until they are in small little chunks, then add them to your mix:

Finally add the last ingredient- honey and mix well so you have a stiff mixture you can mold together, it should look a little like this:

Once all the ingredients are meshed well together take a large baking tray and place a sheet of non-stick baking paper over it.

Spoon out a lump of the mixture onto the tray making a round biscuit shape, but you can get creative and do any shape you like!

Place them in the fridge over night to set and in the morning they should be ready to place into tupperware boxes to store as snacks for the week. Just made sure you keep them refrigerated! They will last for a long time as all the ingredients are dried and raw.

It should make around 12-15 depending on the thickness.

Here's the finished product:

They're sweet, crunchy, filling and healthy! There's not a whole lot that can go wrong here as they're so simple to make with very little ingredients.
