In the last couple years the beverages market has seen a sky rocket on the release of healthy juices and waters. We as a society, we have become increasingly more aware of what we put in our bodies and the benefits we can reap from leading a healthier lifestyle. One particularly popular drink is Coconut Water which can be found in pretty much all supermarkets, presenting you with an array of brands to choose from.
Water Works is a New Brand which offers an alternative range to the regular Coconut Water brands. Established in summer 2016, they’ve carved their footprint on the healthy drinks market by creating Watermelon and Cactus water.
Ashil Vaghela, Creator and Co-founder of Water Works states; “I personally eat and drink clean and lead an active life, so more than anything, I was inspired to create something that I could fully get behind. We have recently seen Watermelon Water and Cactus Water brands emerge in the US (where most categories are created). However, no brand was focusing on more than one ingredient. Whereas it is common to find brands that offer multiple juice flavours, we identified a shortage of brands that offered a range of alternative waters – and from that Water Works was born”
The Watermelon Water is a fantastic on- the- go product which can sway you away from the temptation of fizzy pop drinks, with its sweet natural sugars and a hint of cranberry juice it curbs your sugar cravings in its compact 330ml bottle. With no added water, only 100% Watermelon, it’s got the sweetness we all crave yet leaving us with that guilt-free feeling.

Being the only brand in the UK to produce both Watermelon and Cactus Water, it’s a safe bet to say that the brand offers an exciting new angle on alternative waters. They use a light/flash pasteurisation process to maintain taste/freshness as well as nutrients, whilst may other brands use Ultra High Temperatures to pasteurise and this kills nutrients, altering the taste.
If you’re as curious as we were, the Cactus Water is made from 30% prickly pear juice collected all the way from Sicily and is not from concentrate. Again, including no added colouring and a hint of cranberry juice, it’s a refreshing new product which you can currently only purchase with Water Works. The Cactus Water settles as lighter and less sweet than the watermelon water, it’s a soft flavour with a fresh and hydrating after taste making it a perfect hot weather aid to quench your thirst with all the natural benefits included.
Ashil expressed how the drinks have been greatly successful in their first year of trailing and the brand will be looking to roll out new products in 2018, so make sure you grab yourself a couple cartons and keep posted on what’s to come!
